August 2025 marked another month of active work for the InviOcean team. We continue to bring the community together, share knowledge, and support digital accessibility initiatives, striving to make the digital world more inclusive, engaging, and equitable for people with visual impairments.

More About the Results

During this period, the main focus was on expanding thematic catalogs, adding new games and applications adapted for blind and visually impaired users. The team updated the website localization, improved its functionality, and optimized interfaces for convenient use with screen readers and voice assistants. At the same time, we established cooperation with developers and projects supporting digital accessibility and relaunched the talent support system.

Our Catalogs

At the moment, six catalogs for blind and visually impaired users are in progress:

  • Applications — launched as planned. By the end of August, it included 109 units, and this is only the beginning!
  • Games — fully operational, with 312 titles by the end of August. In August alone, 13 new games were added.
  • Community — planned release date: September 2025.
  • Adapted Courses — planned release date: September 2025.
  • Gadgets — release date TBD.
  • Forums — release date TBD.

Website Optimization and Localization

The main goal remained the same — to make the resource as user-friendly and clear as possible for people with different linguistic and technological needs.

We optimized the page structure, accelerated content loading, improved navigation, and enhanced catalog filters so that users could find the right games, applications, and resources more quickly.

In August, German was added to the list of available languages — English, Spanish, Turkish, Chinese, and Hindi — which became an important step in expanding the site’s international accessibility. In addition to the key sections, the team also started translating other materials so that as much information as possible about games, catalogs, and support would be available to users worldwide.

Published Content

We enriched the website with new materials:

These publications remind us that accessibility is not only about technology, but also about the opportunity to be part of society, to learn, and to grow together with others.

Our goal is to tell stories and share experiences that help people with visual impairments navigate the digital world and discover useful tools for studying, working, and leisure.

Ways to Get Involved

We value everyone who supports our mission and cares about digital accessibility. Any form of help — subscribing, sharing, commenting, participating in volunteer projects, or simply spreading the word — brings the digital world closer and more accessible to blind and visually impaired people.

We have launched the InviOcean page on Patreon and plan to develop it as a platform to support our mission. Subscribe or become our patron to help expand catalogs, create new articles, and inspire the community of people with visual impairments.

Join our volunteer movement! We are still looking for volunteers and specialists to translate into Spanish, Turkish, Chinese, and Hindi in order to accelerate the localization process. Authors and content creators can join too! Even just a few hours of your help per week can make a huge difference: more materials, games, and educational resources will become available to users.

If you want to share knowledge, inspire the community, and be part of the mission of digital accessibility, write to us at support@inviocean.com.

Our Support

One of our ongoing priorities is supporting developers and activists whose ideas make the digital world more accessible. We understand that sometimes even small help can become a starting point for a project that changes the lives of hundreds or thousands of people.

Previously, we collaborated with Julian, the developer of BlindSlash, a modification for World of Warcraft. This tool opened the game to many people with visual impairments. You can find a detailed description of the addon and installation instructions at the link. In August, we renewed our cooperation through small donations. For us, this is proof that targeted support can bring real results.

Today, InviOcean is a group of enthusiasts without a strict organizational structure. But we are looking ahead: in the future, we want to make such support systematic — from small grants and consultations to hired teams that will create applications, services, and full-fledged games for blind and visually impaired users.

At the same time, we remain open to everyone. If you have ideas, projects, or simply questions, join our Discord community. We are always ready to guide, advise, and help you find resources that may be useful for your goals.
