InviOcean Team Shares October 2025 Results
Hello, friends! October once again showed how fast the digital environment is evolving and how many people need clear, reliable information about accessible technologies. We continue moving forward, improving the structure of the project, expanding our catalogs, and making information easier to use and understand.
We see a growing interest in accessible tools, and that motivates us to explore new formats. Every update is another step toward helping blind and visually impaired users find tools that truly work — faster and more easily.

More Details on Our Progress
In October, the InviOcean team updated the catalogs — new apps and games were added, and tags and app ratings were refined. The Adapted Courses and Application sections were reworked to make navigation more convenient. We improved the structure of descriptions and updated data on supported features.
We continued our localization work, adding new materials in other languages. We also celebrated White Cane Safety Day and actively engaged with the community.
Our Catalogs
At the moment, we are working on six catalogs designed for blind and visually impaired users:
- Applications — active; by the end of October it contains 118 units. We added 9 new titles and updated ratings and descriptions of several apps.
- Games — active; by the end of October it contains 360 games. This month, 11 new titles were added.
- Community — currently being filled.
- Adapted Courses — active; by the end of October, 40 units were added, and work on expanding the section continues.
- Gadgets — release date TBD.
- Forums — release date TBD.*
Note:* Due to the small number of specialized forums, this section will be merged into the Community catalog through a “Forums” filter.
Website Optimization and Localization
In October, we added 33 new German translations — another step toward making InviOcean a truly international resource.
We continue breaking down language barriers and are looking for volunteers to help translate content into Turkish, Chinese, Spanish, and Hindi.
Want to join us? Write to us — together we can make the digital environment more inclusive.
Another direction we focused on this month is the site-wide search system. We want every user to simply enter a keyword and instantly find the materials they need. At this stage, the system is in testing.
Publication Content
We added new materials to the website:
- Accessibility tests and reviews of games such as Street Fighter 6 and Ghost of Yotei.
- An interview with the developer of the MUD Elysium RPG: Making Fantasy Accessible: How Elysium RPG Welcomes Blind Players.
- Research and educational publications, including:
- Glaucoma – Unknown and Dangerous — about how the perception of the world changes with visual impairments.
- Interviews for People with Visual Impairments: How to Showcase Your Strengths.
- Watching Movies with Ears: How Blind People Interact with Netflix.
- Xbox (Microsoft) Store: An Accessible Gaming Platform for Visually Impaired Players.
- Epic Games Store: Obstacles for Blind Gamers on the Other Side of the Screen.
Any Form of Participation Matters
Support can take any form: subscriptions, reposts, comments, or participation in volunteer projects — all help make the digital world closer and more accessible for blind and visually impaired people.
By becoming an InviOcean patron on Patreon, you directly support our work and help us develop our projects.
We regularly turn to our community for help — whether it’s volunteering or translating materials into other languages. Even a few hours a week can significantly expand access to games, educational resources, and useful materials on the site. If you are a writer or content creator, your skills are invaluable as well!
For everyone who wants to contribute, we have prepared a separate post inviting you to join our volunteer movement.
New Formats
We keep moving forward and experimenting with new ideas and ways to engage our audience. This includes video content on our YouTube channel.
At the moment, we have recorded our first video. In this video, our BlindAdventurer steps into the world of World of Warcraft — guided not by sight, but by sound.
Using the Blind Slash addon, he explores how one of the most iconic MMOs can become accessible to blind and visually impaired players.
The goal of these experiments is to create content that is diverse and comfortable for a wide variety of audiences.
We would be happy to hear your feedback! Tell us what formats or topics interest you so we can create even more useful content. Write to us at support@inviocean.com or contact us directly on Discord.
