TextGrabber + Translator is a mobile app for recognizing, translating, and vocalizing text using the smartphone camera. It allows users to quickly capture any printed text—books, menus, signs, documents—and obtain a digital version.
The app supports text recognition in over 60 languages and can translate into more than 100 languages, including offline translation for some. Recognized or translated text can be immediately listened to using the built-in speech function.
TextGrabber enables editing recognized text, copying it, sending via email, sharing through messengers or social networks, and performing internet searches. The interface is adapted for people with visual impairments and compatible with screen readers like VoiceOver.
The app is convenient for everyday use, such as reading documents, restaurant menus, signs, and other texts, as well as translating foreign text during travel or work.
