BeepCons

BEEPCONS is a mobile app designed to assist people with visual impairments in locating objects and navigating their surroundings. It works in conjunction with Bluetooth beacons called BEEPCONS, which are attached to various objects, places, or services. The app scans the Bluetooth range and detects beacons, displaying them as a list ordered by distance from the user.

For each detected beacon, the app provides programmed information—such as a description of the object or service. To simplify locating a specific item, the app can activate a sound signal emitted by the corresponding beacon, helping users pinpoint its location even without visual contact.
