Accessible-Coconut is a free and open-source Linux distribution specifically designed for visually impaired and blind users. It comes with preinstalled accessibility tools: the Orca screen reader for the graphical interface, speech output for the console/TTY, a six-key input system in the style of the Perkins Brailler, OCR technology for reading printed text and images aloud, a screen magnifier, and DAISY book and e-publication players. The distribution also includes office applications, audio and video editors, educational games, media file conversion tools, and built-in hotkeys for controlling core functions (volume, brightness, screen reader on/off, and more).

Accessible-Coconut follows an “eyes-free” principle: all system functions are accessible via voice control, keyboard, and braille displays, without requiring sight. It supports both x86 and x64 architectures and can be run and tested from a Live USB or installed on a hard drive.
