The course is designed for visually impaired individuals who want to develop safe and independent mobility skills. The program is tailored individually and covers the use of long and symbolic canes, orientation with a cane or guide dog, travel and trip planning skills, road crossing, night mobility, and the use of assistive technologies, including “smart canes.” Practical training includes navigating the campus, local facilities, the town center, and transport hubs.
