This material is suitable for children of all ages.

These guidelines are perfect for those teaching or wanting to teach visually impaired children how to navigate the world around them. We use autumn natural materials for early childhood development.

On a gloomy and rainy autumn day, you can make a beautiful wreath from bright leaves. It can become a lovely decoration for your front door. This tradition started with Christmas wreaths made from fir branches and cones. Why not create a beautiful autumn decoration, especially when there are so many leaves lying around? Autumn is a riot of colors, and nature’s abundance is everywhere. Colorful leaves, chestnuts, and acorns are all natural materials that can be used to decorate your home. An autumn wreath can be made from tree branches, shrubs, cones, and leaves. The final look will depend on the elements you can collect in the forest or park.

It turns out two-sided, voluminous, and multi-layered, with many decorative elements attached. To create the decorative wreath, we use fallen leaves, dried fruits, and dried flowers. This kind of gift can set the mood for the entire house and garden. The base of the wreath is made from thin, flexible branches. All decorative elements are attached using hot glue or florist’s tape (sticky floral tape).

Glue Gun

It’s used for quickly gluing various fragments, surfaces, and small items. The principle of the glue gun is that the adhesive sticks are melted by heat, and the hot glue can be applied either in dots or in an even layer. Keep in mind that you’re working with heated material—use the hot glue carefully to avoid contact with the skin. Don’t forget to follow safety precautions during the process.

For girls, creating a craft becomes more exciting if the chosen theme is related to fashion, dolls, or dresses. For this craft, we needed dried leaves, ribbons, cardboard, and paints. The main tools were scissors and glue. The bright leaves were dried for several days between the pages of a book under a weight.

Another Doll Outfit

The sweater was crocheted, and the dress was made of leaves. You can use any leaves—maple, oak, or rowan. Just ensure that the leaves are free from visible defects. They should be flat and without holes. We used cardboard as the base.

Working with leaves is very interesting but requires special attention and skill. Before starting the craft, it’s essential to conduct a safety briefing with the children.
