The Land of Karchan is one of the oldest MUD worlds, where history is written by the players themselves. Before you lies a vast fantasy continent filled with legends, a pantheon of gods, and dramatic chronicles. Over thirty years, wars, alliances, and betrayals have all become woven into its story.
Here you will find cities, dark forests, mysterious dungeons, and lands where reality itself takes the shape of horror.
You begin your journey as a human, elf, or dwarf, but this is only the starting point. The world of Karchan is open to unusual races: from tribes of sea-dwellers and packs of werewolves to winged shifters and even unique peoples created by you. The role and destiny of your hero depend on the path you choose, be it a knightly order, a pirate crew, a ranger fellowship, or a secret sect devoted to its gods.
The game mechanics are based on classes and levels, but the main value is role-playing. Every step you take must be justified by your character’s personality and backstory. Everything you need is here: guilds, religions, social connections, clans, and a simple dice system that helps you play out scenes according to the rules of fairness and chance.
Strict laws apply here: open killings are restricted, and history is preserved in the memory of the world. Every decision has consequences, and your actions become part of the chronicles that new players will read.

Note: The MUD project runs only through a web client. While the interface is generally accessible, interactive elements that replace certain commands are implemented as standard links and are placed below the website’s navigation links, making quick navigation more difficult. In addition, the game text is not read automatically by screen readers and must be reviewed manually, which makes the game playable but noticeably less convenient.
