Accessibility in Paper Perjury

Paper Perjury offers basic features for blind and visually impaired players, allowing the use of screen readers and hotkeys for navigation.

Text-to-Speech
Game text can be read using NVDA or the built-in SAPI voice of your operating system.

• NVDA: Press Shift + C to send the in-game text to the clipboard. Automatic reading can be configured via the NVDA Autoclip add-on or third-party scripts.
• SAPI voices: Activated by pressing V.

Hotkeys
For convenience, the following hotkeys are available:

• Arrow keys – Menu navigation.
• Enter – Confirm selection.
• Q – Question the suspect’s statement.
• D – Challenge a statement using evidence.
• Page Up/Page Down – Scroll through dialogue and the evidence list.

Known Issues
When using NvdaSapi, a VBScript error can occur if you try to enable accessibility features. A workaround is to switch to a different voice, after which the feature will work correctly.Thanks to these basic accessibility features, Paper Perjury allows blind players to comfortably follow the text-based elements of the game.
