Accessibility in Night of the Full Moon
Night of the Full Moon is advertised as fully accessible, but its accessibility mode has some quirks:
- Press F8 to enable accessibility mode, which activates voice prompts and reads out a list of hotkeys.
- However, for some reason, the text-to-speech uses multiple languages, primarily Chinese. Without an auto-translator, certain UI elements won’t be read. For example, the main menu is displayed in Chinese by default, so if you lack auto-translation, you’ll get silence instead of synthesized speech.
- Despite these drawbacks, the main gameplay elements remain accessible without complicated configuration. The controls in accessibility mode are quite simple, making the game accessible to most users, including those using screen readers.
