If you love the Marvel universe and have always wanted to step into the shoes of superheroes, you finally have the chance! Spider-Man 2 is the first game in the series fully accessible for blind players, featuring not only Peter Parker but also many familiar faces from the famous comic and cinematic universe.

In the first part, the developers attempted to introduce accessibility elements such as navigation assistance and some gameplay simplifications, but unfortunately, the implementation left much to be desired. However, in the second part, a tremendous amount of work was done to correct these mistakes.

In addition to screen reader support, navigation assistance, and various audio cues, we now have audio descriptions for all cutscenes in the game, even the smallest ones. With these voice-over comments, you won’t miss anything that might be unclear from the on-screen events. The screen reader reads absolutely all menus and prompts, and for example, if you need to press a specific key in QTE elements or interact with something, you will be informed about it.

I really enjoyed the dynamic story, side quests, combat system, as well as the sound design and soundtrack. I strongly recommend this game to all superhero fans!

The game can be completed entirely without the help of a sighted assistant. There are, of course, some challenging parts, but nothing insurmountable. The only aspect that might cause significant difficulty is tracking and navigating to local crimes happening while you travel the streets of New York. Hopefully, this will be addressed in future updates, but this does not affect the completion of the main story and side quests.
