July was a month of significant internal and external changes for the InviOcean team. We made considerable progress, starting with updating our mission and rethinking our vision. Through collaborative work, we developed and formulated a new manifesto—a document that now serves as a guiding framework for all our projects and decisions. It clearly states our core belief: digital accessibility is not an option but a right for everyone, and our task is to help blind and visually impaired individuals discover and utilize the best available digital solutions for gaming, education, work, and everyday life.

Details of Changes

Alongside this internal work, we continued to develop other areas. In July, we actively focused on content for a broad audience, our support page, and our thematic catalogs.

Our Catalogs

Currently, six catalogs for blind and visually impaired users are in development:

  • Application – planned release date: August 2025.
  • Games – active, with 299 games by the end of July. 28 new titles were added to the catalog in July.
  • Community – release date: TBD.
  • Gadgets – release date: TBD.
  • Adapted Courses – release date: TBD.
  • Forums – release date: TBD.

Website Optimization and Localization

In the first half of July, the InviOcean team carried out comprehensive work to improve the website’s functionality and accessibility. The main goal was to make the site as user-friendly and intuitive as possible for users with diverse language and technological needs.

We optimized the site structure, increased content loading speed, and improved navigation, especially for users relying on screen readers and voice interfaces.

Simultaneously, content localization was carried out: translations of key sections of the website were updated into Spanish, Turkish, Chinese, and Hindi.

We plan to go beyond this and, whenever possible, continue translating not only key sections but all other materials into additional languages, ensuring maximum accessibility of information about games, catalogs, and support for an international audience.

Published Content

We added new materials to the website:

  • Inspiring biographies (for example, the story of Sir John Fielding);
  • Reviews of accessible games such as Manamon and Glory Frontline, including collaboration with Prudence Interactive and participation in the beta testing of Glory Frontline;
  • Analytical articles on the role of accessibility in the gaming industry, with a focus on the MUD genre;
  • Launched a new section, “Interviews with…”, aimed at sharing personal stories, experiences, and inspiring achievements of people with visual impairments. The first publication in this series appeared on July 31 — an interview with Oksana Kuznetsova, a writer, traveler, and composer. The article discussed her life, professional achievements, and approach to overcoming barriers related to visual impairment;
  • On July 15, we published an informative interview with typhlopsychologist Mikhail Shchurov, who explained why it is important for people with vision loss to remain connected online.

The InviOcean team plans to continue developing the “Interviews with…” section and other materials, gradually increasing the number of publications.

We aim to share interesting stories, experiences, and discoveries that help blind and visually impaired individuals navigate the digital world, find accessible games, applications, educational resources, and work tools.

If you would like to share your story—how you overcome challenges, find inspiration, and discover new opportunities in learning, work, hobbies, or travel—contact us at support@inviocean.com. Let’s inspire and open new horizons together!

Community Support

Your support enables our team to continue our important mission—making the digital world accessible to blind and visually impaired individuals. Thanks to the help of our supporters, we can research, analyze, and review games, applications, and educational platforms to identify which ones are truly user-friendly for people with visual impairments. Every contribution helps us create catalogs and guides that make it easier to choose tools for work, learning, and recreation.

Supporting our projects also allows us to provide grants to developers and creators who work on expanding digital accessibility. For example, with your help, we were able to support BlindSlash—an add-on for World of Warcraft that makes the game fully accessible for blind players. These grants motivate developers to continue improving their tools, create new features, and expand capabilities for users with visual impairments.

Support in any form contributes to the creation of an inclusive digital space. You can join our volunteer movement! We are always looking for people who want to help make the digital world more accessible. There are many ways to contribute:

  • Developers – help create, test, and improve tools and resources.
  • Designers – create user-friendly and accessible interfaces and graphics.
  • Writers and Editors – prepare content, guides, and articles to disseminate information.
  • Translators – make our materials available to a global audience.
  • Educators – help develop accessible educational materials and resources.

For all ways to support us, see the Cooperation page.

We are grateful to everyone who participates in our mission and cares about digital accessibility. Your support—whether through subscriptions, reposts, comments, participation in volunteer projects, or simply sharing information—helps us make the digital world accessible to blind and visually impaired individuals.

Thanks to you, we can develop catalogs, create new materials, support developers with grants, and inspire people to make new discoveries. Together, we demonstrate that every contribution matters and can change lives.Our team will continue working on new projects, expanding catalogs, improving the website and localization, researching and supporting digital solutions, and creating educational wizards.
