This material is suitable for children of any school age.

For sighted children, visual aids are the primary means of perceiving the world around them. Visually impaired children also explore the world with great interest, but they rely more on hearing, smell, and touch.

Parents and teachers should focus more on familiarizing children with their surroundings, developing auditory perception, and teaching tactile exploration of objects. They should encourage children to pay attention to objects they can touch, feel, and listen to.

Incorporating nature into lessons helps students find connections between natural materials and school models of round bodies.

How are cones and mathematics related? The shape of a pinecone resembles a cone.

A cone is a round body with a circular base.

The scales of many pinecones form spirals, one winding clockwise and the other counterclockwise.

Spirals are a geometric beauty.

If you count the number of scales at the base, you will get one of the Fibonacci numbers. This series includes numbers like 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, and so on. The Fibonacci sequence is commonly found in nature. Fibonacci was a medieval scientist who lived in Pisa (now part of

The “Devil’s Stone,” Belemnite

Belemnite is a stone with a rich history, originating from ancient mollusks. Mystical legends were told about this stone. It can be found along riverbanks. In my collection, these stones are cylindrical, but when intact, they resemble darts.

From the image, it’s clear that the stones look like arrow tips.

In our case, this stone resembles a smooth, round cylinder. A cylinder is a round body with a circular base.

Lessons on the Connection Between Nature and Mathematics

In such lessons, we explore the fascinating connection between nature and mathematics. We teach children to find links between the natural world and objects, helping them understand that everything in the world is interconnected.
